Obituary for Stephen Grant Helm

Helm, Stephen Grant, age 66, of Lenoir City, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, March 1, 2018 surrounded by his family.

He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and great-uncle. He enjoyed a successful career with the Loudon County Sheriff's Office. His interests included family, gardening, woodworking and hunting. He devoted much of his time and energy to helping his family members.
He is preceded in death by his father Grant Lee Helm and grandparents A.T. and Essie Thompson, Walter and Fern Helm.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Thompson Helm; brother, Gary Stewart Helm; sisters and spouses, Teresa Bruse (Rich), Denise Adams (Frederick); nieces and nephews, Sarah Helm Lucero (Kenny), Cameron Bruse (Alex), Dale Helm, Hayley Bruse, Zachary Adams and Matthew Adams; great-nieces, Alexis Lucero and Lily Bruse and extended family and dear friends.

Family and friends will gather for Graveside Services at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at Foster Cemetery in McMinn County. In honor of his military service as a Vietnam veteran, full military honors will be conferred.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association National Direct Response Headquarters 1200 Hosford Street, Suite 101 Hudson, WI 54016-9316.
