Obituary for Arthur Nelson Forsberg

Arthur Nelson Forsberg, of Knoxville passed away on September 22, 2017 at the age of 89. A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Art joined the US Army Air Corps after graduating from high school. He attended Upsala College in New Jersey where he met his wife Jane. He graduated from Augustana Seminary and was ordained as a Lutheran minister. He was a pastor for thirty years, raising a family in Wyckoff, New Jersey. He was a resident of Knoxville for twenty years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Andrew Forsberg; mother, Augusta Nelson Forsberg; sister June Forsberg Moniz; and son Stephen Paul Forsberg. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane; son David and daughter-in law Susan; grandchildren Rachael Wedekind and her husband Blaine, Gunnar Forsberg, Taylor Hale, Kristin Forsberg, Chandler Hale, and his recently arrived great-grandson, Oliver Wedekind.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 30, 11 am, at Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 225 Jamestowne Blvd., Farragut, TN, 37934.
