He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Kathryn; daughter Linda Scothorn (Jim); grandsons Douglas, (Bonnie) and Daniel, (Banks); and four great-grand children, Reid, Rebecca, Sarah and Sam.

Glenn was born in Bates, Arkansas on April 5, 1923. He received an associate’s degree in engineering from Sinclair Community College. During World War II, as an Air/Cadet in the Army Air Corp, he was an airplane mechanic stationed in Amarillo, Texas.

Glenn’s career spanned 40 years in the magazine printing industry as a mechanical engineer working for McCall Printing Company in Dayton, Ohio and World Color in Effingham, Illinois. On retirement he moved to Florida where he became a Master Gardener at the University of Florida Extension Service. He presented numerous lectures on invasive plant species in Florida. In addition, he served for several years as the Master of Ceremony of the Senior Friends program in Panama City, Florida.

He is remembered by many friends and acquaintances as an outgoing, fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and colleague and his love of children was exceptional. On the return trip home from Honor Air Flight 19 he shook the hand of nearly every child in the reception line.
