Obituary for James Mack "Jim" Sowders

James Mack Sowders, age 67, of Knoxville, passed away February 14, 2019. Jim was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Farragut High School and Hiwassee College. Jim retired from CVS Health Distribution Warehouse after 44 years. He loved being outdoors and was active with the Talbott Hunting Club and Smoky Mountain Archery Club. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Geneva Sowders. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eva Sowders; daughter, Elizabeth Stevens (Bryan); grandchildren, Chelsea Shepherd (Logan), Cheyenne Stevens, and Chloe Stevens; great-granddaughter, Luna Stevens; brother, Johnny Sowders; sister, Jacki Hensley; several nieces and nephews; and many life long friends. Family will receive friends 2-3pm Saturday at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a service to follow at 3pm. Immediately after the service, burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery.
