Christian Calvin Doak, Captain U S Army Retired, age 52, of Tracy City, Tennessee and formerly of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2018 following a motorcycle accident.
Christian was an active member of First Baptist Church of Tracy City and was their sound technician. After graduating from CAK in Knoxville, he graduated with a degree in music and computers from Carson Newman University while being active in ROTC. He served with the Tennessee National Guard 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Iraq and retired with twenty-one years of service. He was a Classroom and Computer Lab Technician at Sewanee: The University of the South. He enjoyed singing in the Sewanee Chorale. Christian loved technology, riding horses, and motorcycles.
Christian is survived by father and stepmother, Dr. E. Dale and Rita Doak of Blaine; mother, Anna Marie Doak of Knoxville; sister, Sarah Doak of Knoxville.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bob St. John and Rev. Ben Curtis officiating.
Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. on Friday at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 East Gov. John Sevier Highway for graveside services with full military honors conferred by the U S Army.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Tracy City, 531 Main Street, Tracy City 37387.
