Obituary for Rebecca "Nanny" Inez Brown

Rebecca 'Nanny' Inez Brown passed away on August 8, 2017, at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family. She will be remembered as the best and most wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Nanny's Chicken and Dumplin's and Dressing were legendary. She loved having her photo made and could shop until she dropped.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Petus and Minnie Josephine Wicker and her husband, Henry G. Brown; and many siblings. She is survived by daughters, Joyce (Sam) Erexson and Christy (Joe) Moore; grandchildren, Michael (Trish) Cox, Sean (Nikki) Cox, Shalet (Jason) Johnson-Morris, Sumer (Chris) Gerard, Little Joe Moore; Great Grandchildren, Jordan Cox, Logan Johnson, Landry Johnson, Bella Gerard; Great Great Granddaughter, Lily Mae Cox (Alexis Nagel); Sister, Peggie Cromer; Special Nephew, Lee (Sherrie) Wicker (Alex) (Daniel); Special friends, Marjorie, Kim and Rodney; and many other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Kirk Bivens at Click Funeral Home and Cremations for caring for the family during this time.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 1:30 - 2:30 at Click Funeral Home and Cremations Middlebrook Pike, 9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37923 immediately followed by graveside services at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
