Obituary for Phyllis Scheuneman

Phyllis Scheuneman, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home in Lenoir City on March 27, 2018. She was a member of Faith Fellowship CP Church. She was active with several community choirs including, Knoxville Choral Society and Christian Women’s Club. She faithfully served as Sunday School Teacher for over 35 years as well as serving as an Elder in the CP Church. Phyllis was born in Detroit, Michigan and was the only one in her family to graduate High School. She moved to Knoxville in 1968 where she raised her family and impacted her community. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Florence Buckweitz and her siblings. She is survived by her children, Annette Reeves, of Lenoir City, Sandra Livingston, of Sugar Land, Texas, Philip Scheuneman, of Knoxville, and Dawn Lloyd, of New Bern, North Carolina; grandchildren, Craig, Heather, Charles, Matthew, David, Andrew, and Megan; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many lifelong friends that she considered family. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45pm on Saturday at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a service to celebrate Phyllis’s life to immediately follow at 8pm. Graveside service will be 11am on Monday at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship CP Church 14025 US-70, Lenoir City, 37772.
