Obituary for Dorotha Mae (Dot) Hinkle

Dorotha Mae (Dot) Hinkle, age 95, of Lenoir City, formerly of Knoxville passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 13, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Dot retired from Levi Strauss Company after 44 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dot is preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd Hinkle, Sr.; parents, George Rodgers and Florence Haun Rodgers; sisters, Nola Ellison, Arminda Claiborne, Katherine Ferguson, Hettie Pritchard; daughter-in-law, Gail Bailey Hinkle.

She is survived by her son, William Lloyd (Bill) Hinkle, Jr. of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Vicki (Larry) Mason, Randall Scott (Jeannine) Hinkle, Julie (Eric) Myers; great grandchildren, Matthew (Dee Anne) Baker, Laura (Corey) Johnson, Will Myers, Seth (Caitlin) Hinkle, Jewel Hinkle, Preston and Peyton Adams; great great grandson, Zayn Hinkle; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 noon on Tuesday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12 noon with Rev. Linda Parton officiating.

A private family service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery.
