Obituary for David Joseph Ratte

David Joseph Ratte – of Knoxville, passed away at the age of 43 on December 1, 2017. He was born and raised in Northern Illinois, later moving to Knoxville in 1994. Dave worked in the restaurant industry. He enjoyed music, he made friends very easily and was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit. But most of all, he loved spending time with his son, Henri. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty and John H. Dahle. He is survived by his son, Henri; mother and step-father, Jodi and Dolph Gunther; child’s mother and special friend, Gina Parvin; grandmother, Marilyn Oliver; aunts and uncles, John Dahle; Jan and John Carabelli, Renee Ratte, and Bruce Ratte; cousins, Michael and Adam Dahle, Jacob and Julia Carabelli, and Stacie Wax. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 5 – 7 p.m. with a celebration of David’s life at 7 p.m. at Click Funeral Home and Cremations, 9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37923. Condolences may be left for the family at www.clickfh.com In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter.
