Obituary for Chad Lee Starliper

Chad Lee Starliper, born November 17, 1974, went home to Heaven on December 2, 2017 surrounded by family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Judi Starliper and father, Steve Starliper. Chad was their only child and served his mother and father faithfully during the illnesses that took them both, too soon.

Chad is survived by his wife Wendy Starliper and his children Mason, Carter, and Presley. Chad was a devoted husband and fully engaged Dad. His children were his joy and greatest legacy.

Chad graduated from Farragut High School in 1993 where his golf accomplishments led to a scholarship at Clemson University. Chad was pleased to be an upcoming inductee into the Farragut Sports Hall of Fame. He had a stellar golf career at Clemson which led to time as a professional golfer.

Chad then became a Senior Financial Advisor with Rather & Kittrell Capital Management. He was studied, creative, and had a desire to serve others. He had a reputation for a remarkably sharp mind, planning knowledge, and for his unwavering commitment to do things right. Chad left a legacy at Rather & Kittrell in the lives he has touched through his work and faithfulness as a friend.

Chad was a multifaceted man. His hobbies were as varied as his study of his golf swing, building furniture from scratch, attaining the perfect yard, Vol's football, and reading on innumerable topics.

But most centrally, Chad was a man of strong, unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. This faith was proven these past few years in the face of his illness. He had the gift of teaching and loved to lead others into scripture, making complex topics easy to understand. His passion was helping others meet and know Jesus, his savior and friend.
Chad's extended surviving family include: Bonita Brown; Beth, Maggie and Abby Dowd; Christopher Brown; Sadie, John and Triston Carter; Georgia Owenby; Karmen and Reilly Miller; Kirk, Amy, Emma and Chase Johnson; and Roy and Carolyn Horton.

Greeting of friends will be held at Two Rivers Church, Friday December 8, from 4 to 6 pm. His Home-going Service will immediately follow at 6 pm. Chad's friend, Pastor Brad Brinson will be officiating.
