Obituary for Carla Schirmer

Carla Schirmer, age 48, passed away on July 13, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. Carla was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was employed by Covenant Health over 20 years as a Health Information Management Specialist. Carla was a 1987 graduate of Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver, NJ. She loved her time and workouts at National Fitness where she met many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Schirmer; grandparents, Gerta Hickman Davis and Arthur Henry Davis, and Jennie and George Schirmer. Carla is survived by mother, Grace Schirmer; sister, Lori Schirmer and husband, David Couch; niece and nephew, Nova Schirmer-Couch and Carl Schirmer-Couch; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many life long friends. Family will receive friends 4-6pm Sunday at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel. Graveside service will be 11am Monday at Clear Creek Church Cemetery in Lancing, TN. Carla’s favorite color was RED so family would love to see you wearing red in some form. Also, a memorial service will be held 6pm Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or a Cancer organization of your choice.
