Obituary for Andrew (Andy) Puglise

Andrew (Andy) Puglise, age 77, of Knoxville passed away Friday evening, July 28, 2017.

Andy was born in Paterson, New Jersey, 20th November 1939 to Samuel F. Puglise and Anna Maria Pisacane Puglise, Andrew Puglise was educated at Our Lady of Lourdes School and Don Bosco Technology Academy. After high school, he served for six years as a paratrooper in the U.S. Marine Corps, including a tour of duty in Japan aboard the U.S. aircraft carrier Coral Sea. An early expert in computer technology in the business sector, he was an independent management consultant to clients such as Fidelity Investments, where he installed their first applications of mobile technology. In Nashville, he consulted with Avo Aerostructures, the Rogers Group, and Service Merchandise, where he became the corporate CIO.

He was an enthusiast of trout fishing and golf, a passionate music lover, and a car aficionado.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Ball; son, Michael Puglise and his wife Lisa; daughter, Linda Elizabeth Little and her husband, Jeff; dear daughters-friends, Robin Banner and her wife, Diane Dunn; grandchildren, Christen Odum, Chelan Branham, Austin and Annamarie Puglise; great-grandson, Riley Sweat; his sister, Patricia King; brothers, Paul Puglise and Mark Puglise; sister-in-law, Kathleen Puglise; brother-in-law, David Clark; sister-in-law, Kay Hillyard and her husband, Rick and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Park West Hospital, especially the nurses on Third and Fourth Floors for the compassionate care he received. A special thanks to Dr. Ayaz Rahman, Dr. Kendra Hendon, and Seth Chaffins, DNP and the entire valve team for for their tireless efforts and personalized loving care they bestowed.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the Milestones Event Center next door to the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Father Joe Reed officiating.
